U of M President and Regents Visit MinnWest Technology Campus

University of Minnesota President, Robert H. Bruininks, staff, and several Board of Regents visited the MinnWest Technology Campus on October 10, 2007.  President Bruininks spent two hours visiting with MinnWest executives.  The cordial meeting was held to educate President Bruininks and the Regents on the technology based companies already located on the campus and their technology related activities.  Future visions were also shared.

During the visit President Bruininks indicated that renewable energy and animal disease research are two areas that should be continued and advanced in the future.

MinnWest provided a tour of the campus showing the campus employee amenities such as the gymnasium, swimming pool, and fitness center.  They also saw the condition of an existing building waiting to be renovated, and Nova-Tech Engineering offices, production shop, and assembly operations.

MinnWest and the University will continue talks to determine if future partnerships could exist between the two entities.
