About the 3rd Annual Animal Science Conference
The 3rd Annual Animal Science Conference will take place October 1, 2013 in Willmar, MN at the MinnWest Technology Campus. The pre-event reception will take place the evening of September 30 at the nearby Holiday Inn. The daylong conference will feature speakers and panels covering the latest industry trends, encourage networking, and facilitate deal flow between investors and animal science companies seeking funding.

Keynote Speaker Announced!
Dr. Chris Ashworth
Chairman, Animal Agriculture Alliance and Elanco Animal Health
Dr. Ashworth is a Dairy Technical Consultant for ELANCO ANIMAL HEALTH. He is responsible for working with dairies in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Kansas and Colorado and lives in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Dr. Ashworth is the owner of New Frontier Angus Ranches based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is a high technology purebred registered Black Angus seed stock genetics operation using artificial insemination, sexed semen, embryo transfer and in vitro fertilization, all in an animal welfare friendly environment.
Dr. Ashworth is active in the state of Arkansas, working to make sure state legislators understand the consequences of their decisions regarding agriculture, food production and animal welfare policies and the impact of a growing population growth on agricultural and medical infrastructure needs in rural America. In most years Dr. Ashworth will fly close to 150,000 miles speaking all across the US about animal agriculture and the growing need for food to feed this nation and the additional 1.9 Billion people whom will inhabit the planet in 2050, for a total of 9 Billion people.
